14 Aug 2001: Flight 20 merges updated (and files containing all flights) -- erroneous H2SO4 data in previous merge. New merges shortly with all of Yuhang's calculations and updated Steady-state calculations from Chris.

7 Aug 2001: All Merges updated: OH data revised (see F.Eisele's email of Aug 3); Chris Cantrell's steady state calculations corrected; Yuhang Wang's box model included (except missing for Flts 6,10,15,19,25,32,38, due to merging error); Wind direction corrected (was 180deg off).

12 June 2001: No new merges: Yuhang Wang's box model files are available separately (for each flight or one file with all flights).

18 May 2001: All Merges updated: PAN data revised; Steady State calculations revised.

9 May 2001: All merges updated once again -- with correct detection limit treatment, i.e., if any data falling within a merge interval is flagged as below detection limit, then the resulting merged value is flagged with -88888. The detection limit values are given in the header of the merged files.

7 May 2001: NOTE: These merges replaced any data below detection limit with 1/2 of the lower detection value.
All merges were updated with the following changes:

• OH data: Flts 26-29 data below 11,000 ft has been deleted.
• RO2 data: Flts 5-17,19-21,23-24,28-29,34,36-42 have been updated.
• NOx, NOy data: Spikes from aircraft exhaust in Flt 29 have been removed.
• Variables from steady state calculations by Chris Cantrell have been re-labeled with 'ssr'. Also in the previous merges the calculated "HO2" was mistakenly left out.
• Wind speed and direction (variables WSC and WDC) are now calculated from the average U and V wind vectors. Previous merges did not take into account the wind direction wrapping from 360 to 0.

23 Feb 2001: All merges have been updated with final OH data.

13 Feb 2001: Corrected Flt 23 PAN files included in all merges.
A new merge has been added which has a time base starting 5 sec before each PAN sample and ending 5 sec after.

1 Feb 2001: Corrected Flt 35 HNO3 file included in all merges.

18 Jul 2000: 60 sec Merges updated for all flights. "fe_MSA" added at end of variable list.

• Merges based on the URI peroxide samples ("hbper") have been created for Flights 5-36.
• All merges for Flights 18-36 have been updated.

5 Jul 2000: All merges for Flights 37-42 have been updated with CO, N2O and revised NO2 & total PANs.

9 Jun 2000: All merges for Flights 5-42 updated.

8 Jun 2000:

• 60 sec merges have been updated. All flights have the same number and order of columns, but this has changed from Jun 2 merges. From now on, additional species will only be added at the end of the variable list. Other time-base merges will be updated shortly.
• Data flagged as LLOD are now included in the merges at half the LLOD value. ULOD data is set to the ULOD value.
• A new variable 'FltFraction' has been included which is a pseudo-time variable equal to the flight number + secs/100000.
